9am Wednesday, 23 December 2009. I have woke up to the wife and Daughter arguing again… it is the same old same old… Daughter cannot get up in time and is making the very stressed wife late for work. They work together, when my hard working daughter is not at Uni.

As I reflected on whether I was a bad person to let this continue, whether I was doing the right thing in my own life a stunning revelation came to me. My guide came and said, “Why do you feel so bad about this? Would you change things? Why don’t you reflect?” with this came the stunning realisation that I had lived by the rule of Karma all or most of my life.

This is more relevant than I ever imagined. It is not as some may immediately think, revenge, it most certainly is not that. Oh no, it is something far more spiritual than that ever could be. Revenge is not a good thing. It is not to be sought after and I realised at that moment that it is never an answer, at all. The spiritual thing is to let them go their own way so they learn the lessons they are supposed to, it came as I say as a blinding revelation.

I suddenly realised that my whole attitude through life was to help people even if it was to my own detriment and this has certainly been the case. I would continually help until I got to a certain point and then I would say, “Okay fine, you are not taking the hint. You want to continue and stubbornly keep hitting your head against the wall, when you wake from your stupor, you will realise that not only does it hurt you, you have wasted a great deal of time doing it” as always with Spirit and Spirit truth, blindingly simple!

I cannot and would never have known as a conscious decision that this is the way I have always run my life. For years sixteen to be exact, I paid the majority of the bills. I paid the mortgage, all the insurances, car expenses; in fact, I spent ninety percent of my wages on the bills. This is despite my wife, always, being the breadwinner. We bought our first home in nine-teen seventy-nine a year before we married. My wife had been lucky in that she has always been a studious and hard working person. She had been lucky enough to have landed a good job from a young age and been blessed by the common sense and practice of learning quickly.

She progressed and became after some time, a manager. I have been blessed with the experience of many jobs some of which I have loved, including this one of being a Medium and teacher and some, quite a few, of which I have hated and put up with for only days. I found them, or rather the principles of their working, soul destroying.

I shall give one example that of being a cable television sales person. It was most definitely the particular company for which I worked you understand nothing else. However, in two weeks it taught me a lot. They sold to those that did not need and could not afford it. Example, I found a little old lady – yes, I know cliché but there you go. I spent a good hour with her and realised she would be better off without the “excellent phone package” and I told her so. My conscience would never let me place her in the situation or distress of having to pay those bills over heating, eating and peace of mind.

Anyway, back to the story. My wife has always been hard working. She does in my humble opinion, sometimes work very hard indeed in the wrong direction. I struggled to pay these bills in very unequal measure. I then got to a point of “I am making myself ill, you are not listening to me, you are making it harder for both of us, and it is making me ill.”

In December of nine-teen-ninety-five we bought our second home. I was again, as she used to remind me, on a lower wage and she had for the first time in sixteen years of marriage, now had the pleasure of paying the mortgage and many of the bills and I effectively still paying some ninety percent of my wages into the home.

Because of the way it came about my wife was now paying something like the same into the home. She did not like this. Rows ensued. She did not think it fair. Why should she not have any money? Why should she be paying most of the bills? Yes, exactly. She has had that pleasure up to date.

That one factor came about by Spiritual design, however, all else came about I think by my own instinct and guidance most probably, by Spirit. As mediums, we are blinkered as to our paths because otherwise we would not learn our own lessons and gain experience in our own lives. If we had “all the answers”, we should have little point in being here.

That small example, that reflection induced by my guide has been a true revelation to me. A Spiritual truth came as again I learned the truth that “we only learn the lesson when we have achieved the level to understand it” it is a great thing no doubt about it.

With my wife continually making a rod for her back and I trying to make her understand it, I began to say very consciously but without full realisation until today, “ok then, it’s your head, it’s the wall you want, go for it” and then let her go for it. You can only help someone so much, you can only put up with so much self-detriment.

This attitude of letting them learn from their mistakes is not an easy option for either of us. It is of course one hundred percent natural. You hit your hand with a hammer, it hurts, end of.

For example, she would come home exhausted and start clearing up after the kids. I kept on telling her “the way to do it is to get the kids to clear up after themselves and that way they learn to not make a mess in the first place” it is that simple or am I confusing things here? It’s good for the kids, it’s good for her and its good for me because I don’t stress over it either.

Life is not that simple is it? She has to kill herself by insisting that she chase after them “being a good mother.” I want to point out here that we have two wonderful girls. Everybody says so and they are a shining example of two beautiful souls. Yes, they do have their faults, we all do it’s what makes us human and I am very much of that ilk.

So she chases them, and chases them and… well you get the point. They don t learn, neither does the wife and everybody is unhappy. Unhappy because one person does not listen. The fact is telling them, tell them many times and then leave them to it. I have explained ad nauseum what is happening, what will happen and it has. The fact it has escapes them. That amazes me. It is as they say, as plain as the nose on their faces. So be it. Karma comes round and bites them, constantly. So… my wife makes a rod for her own back and mind you, for the kids and in a way for me. It causes rows of course.

Once again it is “my entire fault” there is so much “tidying to do” there are conflicts with the kids etc, etc, etc, yet the solution was so simple. I say was, because it has gone well past the point of no return in that one simple example. There are many examples, that very fact is so very sad.

I get the “you don’t help” argument – and of course I do help but it is much more limited because, having been made quite ill for a number of years over all of this I do not see why I should suffer more only because “one person has made the situation bad for all” and “unlearn” or make the situation worse by falling into the same trap. My duty is to make life as easy as possible for all of us, not as my wife seems to believe, and so absolutely lives by, “no make it harder.”

Therefore, life is made harder except for me, but only in a way. Most of it flows past me now and this has not helped the marriage. Again, not that I haven’t tried. I see things so much more clearly, now that I live by this rule, which as I say came to me by revelation this morning.

It is as simple as this. You can tell a child continuously, “That is hot” there is no understanding of such an abstract thing for a young child. Try explaining to a person blind from birth what a colour is. The child will only understand when they and of course we hope without too much pain, picks up that hot poker. This is why we are here. We learn by our mistakes. Or… some of us do.

Of course, we don’t want harm for our child however, they will never forget the burning, and of course, when we give them a warning even though they don’t understand it they should pay heed next time. Thinking on this, is it so hidden that with our world, kept in a nanny state, that there is so much trouble?

We have lifted or tried to remove the harm that the poker does not understanding that the burn is the lesson. Hence, we have no real dissuasion from the effects of wrongdoing, we have a society that says it is ok for me to break into your home and harm you but, if you harm me defending your property, I will sue you.

It is a society that says it is ok for me to explain that I had it hard, but you have to pay for me. A society that is litigation mad.

As I recall in America, some years ago a person scalded themselves with hot coffee and sued McDonalds for an extraordinary amount! What happened to common sense? The coffee was bloody hot, some of us like it like that, yes, it is hot, because I am so stupid and careless you have to pay. Is this really the world we want to live in?

For me no, we are going against Spiritual law in that.

Spiritual law says. Do what thy wilt (do what you want), but you must make amends. Hence, we have the world as it is today, for me in some ways, a far worse place than it should be.

Spiritual law says “personal responsibility” we cannot abdicate these laws. We should not abdicate these laws, follow them and there lies true happiness.

Follow karmic law all through your days and you will live a better life and the world along with you.

THE GIFT OF LOVE 

I have been lucky enough to see and share some, a few, of the Wonders of God the Divine Spirit. I am also lucky enough to have been given gifts, tools for work. My life has been transformed by both these things.

In return for this I wish to share my experiences, to help, to Heal, both body and mind. I am a medium, bringing proof of a life Hereafter, of a greater world than which we see.

Its knowledge brings joy, consolation and comfort. It guides and Cradles us throughout our existences.

Once the spark of love is lit, its light can never die. It leads Us on through darkness, constant, unchanging, eternally giving.

Knowledge of its existence will change your life, too. It is a Knowledge that has borne the hardest scrutiny for those that fear Or fail to see the light clamor for it to be extinguished. A contradiction indeed.

For all who see the way guide those around them meekly, never Forcing, never hurrying. For their part, hard scrutiny comes from within, for never has a cause so rigorously denied, questioned or Tested itself, leading not to a faith, but a knowing, the Strongest confirmation off all. And facts, once known, speak for Themselves.

For our part the facts should be presented for others to heed Should They Wish, for questions if answers be known, answered. For God, the Divine Spirit pities all. He guides and keeps us Safe, every one.

His wisdom and patience is great. Even so, guiding our faltering Steps for man can only learn by mistake, while spirit learns by Love.

And yet, we can learn by spirit, through spirit, for man is Spirit, clothed in gross flesh, its frailties and weakness, its Difficulties to master once and for all.

And then, to be borne up, one step nearer to God the Divine spirit To experience, in a wider field, the expression of His love, to Communicate to those above and below the knowledge of his love, for all things.

WHAT IS A MEDIUM?

Being a medium means putting yourself in a supernormal state of Mind.

It means reaching part way into the heavens for those around you to reach a greater way down. It is the matching of minds, for a Space, for the giving and receiving of love.

 It means you are guided, not by matter around you, but by your spirit, in communion with others.

 It means sacrifice, for the giving of your time for others, to Love and help those in need.

 We are path clearers, helping to show the way. We are dam Builders, blocking the path of bad intent.

 We are prisms, spreading and showing the true colour of light, Showing that from your view point things may not be what they Seem.

 We are radios, listening for the cry of help, islands in a storm,  A quite bay in a restless day.

 But most of all we are human. Incarnate here with you.

With our own troubles and worries.

Where everyday affairs have an everyday ending, where earthly Lessons are taught. For how could we understand your plight Without the lesson learned?

And yet we are the most fortunate of souls because, for a moment, We are in touch with love.

COURAGE

 No one knows what courage is: it’s hard to grin and bear.

 We bear our pains so silently, when it twinges here and there.

 Courage is a friend’s smile, who knows and understands,

 who sends His love and prayers and leaves them in Gods hands.

 Courage is a silent vigil, knowing the end is near.

 Courage is a glad goodbye not shedding any tear.

 For those who know the pain, but brave it anyway.

 For those who give their loved ones peace on their last day.

I should like to write about those who commit acts that harm others. I’m not talking at this point of serious harm that has been touched upon in other writings on this site but I am very concerned about the culture of “do unto others before they do unto you” the culture of “get your retaliation in first” so to speak.

I myself have been victim of this kind of behaviour myself on quite a few occasions. This has included bullying at work, victimisation and discrimination and harassment from those who should really know better. Specifically those who are in one of the other “caring professions” Teaching. I cannot for legal reasons name names but of course, they know who they are.

This is the kind of thing that happens quite sadly, to many people in everyday situations. There are those who for want of an easy life are prepared to do outrageous things. They stand up and lie as though it is quite natural to them to vindictively destroy your life and smile so sweetly when they do it.

They feel it is a dog eat dog world and so they have to “do whatever it takes” to “survive” but it is not really about survival is it? I have personally found that in many instances a word at the right time, an apology would be so much easier and yet the ego will not let it go. SO a web of deceit is constructed whereby others are drawn in to support the original story so that those who least need support are banded together to act aggressively against the one who needed at that initial point so little support but just the right kind of support and understanding.

And so… a huge problem occurs where others band together to cause a much greater harm. I have, not surprisingly I may add, found that there are some who consider themselves “religious” to the extent they go to church every Sunday and feel very righteous in themselves. Even to the extent of taking services as in my example, of being in school. Those who think their “standing” is utmost and will do anything to protect it. Ego is a terrible thing.

I am always surprised by those who “being religious” and who act like this in everyday lives are able to rationalise both together. It is said that the human mind can rationalise anything and this I certainly believe to be true. For example during war and certainly the second world war many dreadful, inhumane, and cruel things were done by many and who rationalised their thinking to accommodate the acts carried out, whether it was catching babies on bayonets, shooting innocents, or gassing by the millions, the thoughts and perceived “right” of what they were doing was rationalised and the acts carried out again and again.

We can see that thinking has not altered in the recent slaughter carried out by various tribes in Africa and of course even in Europe.

Getting back to the actions of bullying etc, however you rationalise it you have to go through the stage of acceptance of wrong doing otherwise there is nothing to rationalise. Once done you have redoubled your crime as it were. What many, through failure of religions I firmly believe, fail to see is that on passing over you know what your actions have caused – good or bad, and you are taken through each and every one of them and the pain and suffering caused not only directly but by others affected too.

In my case, I can say that it has greatly affected my family and caused great suffering in many ways including financial. Those responsible will be forced to see what they have done and moreover, not only understand but also feel the full force emotionally of the destructive forces they have put into play.

We can imagine, in some circumstances that a person so dejected may have a breakdown, may feel so failed and rejected by life and on that trajectory, take out those feelings on others not involved by virtue of now having a short fuse. We can imagine on taking that to an extreme that an accident occur and a life lost and the repercussions of that.

As we follow this strand, we can see that a simple action, redoubled and supported, has created so much tension, has caused an accident in which a person lost their life.

On looking from spirit as you review this simple action and all its ripples never known to you in life, but plain as day now, you can see the misery you have caused and it is a misery far from the actions you perpetrated and perpetuated. Still you have to make amends for it. All of it. It is for this reason that I say, treat people fairly. Treat them, as you would want them to treat you. This is in the bible of course. It is there for a reason but like so much in life, misunderstood.

Give thought to those who cross your path. Be gentle with them. Cause no ill. Cause no bad Karma. For as you go through life, as you prepare the path in this world and the next, bear in mind what you would want for yourself. For to be sure you shall have it.

As for my plight? As always I shall ask for love and forgiveness to those that harm me. For theirs is the greater loss, not only in dignity but in suffering. When we meet in the afterlife, they shall have to ask my forgiveness and it shall be given.

However, they shall have to forgive themselves first and that can only be done when they have understood the terrible consequences of what they have done.

These secret words of Jesus are part of a longer explanation of the creation story in Genesis, as told from the viewpoint of the Gnostic Christians, an early “heretic” sect exposed by some New Testament authors.  The manuscript was known before its discovery (as part of the Nag Hammadi Library) through secondary quotes in Irenaeus’ Against Heresies of 185 A. D.

The Father of Light is not merely god or a god, or similar to a god. It is incorrect to think of him so: he is The Invisible Spirit. Since there is none more powerful, no one is able to give him orders. He does not live in inferior beings; rather, everything exists in him. He even brought himself into being, and he lives forever because he does not require sustenance. Since he does not lack for anything, he needs nothing for completion. He is a completely perfect being in light. 

His ability is unlimited, since there is no one more powerful to set limits. He is not able to be closely examined as a specimen, for no one lived before him to examine him. For the same reason, he cannot be measured. He is invisible since no one has seen him. He is eternal for he had no beginning. 

He is indescribable since no one is able to comprehend him to speak of him. He cannot be named since there was no one with the authority to name him. He is blinding light – pure, holy, immaculate.

Since all but him are corrupt, and he is incorruptible, no one is able to describe his blessedness, divinity, or perfection.

He is even superior to such eloquent words in their fullness of meaning!

He is not corporal or incorporeal. He is neither large nor small. One cannot say, “Of what quantity is he, or what quality?” No one can know him. He is more than superior – he is beyond the confines of time and reality since he created these and did not receive them from another. He does not look to anyone for anything out of need.  All look expectantly to him in his light.

His perfection is majestic. He is pure, limitless mind. He is time-giving time, life-giving life, blessings-giving blessed, knowledge-giving knowledge, goodness-giving goodness, mercy- and redemption-giving mercy, grace-giving grace – not because these are his possession; rather, they are the benefits of his gift of immeasurable and incomprehensible light.

How can I describe him so that you can understand? His existence is indestructible; his repose is in the confident knowledge of being before all. He is the head of all creation, and he imparts strength through his goodness. We are unable to describe him accurately or understand him; all, that is, but the one who came forth from the Father.

This one who came forth is able to describe him because he looks at the Father through the very light that surrounds him. This light is also called the “spring water of life.” So he is the mediator who imparts this light to all creations in every way, for he is able to gaze upon the Father’s image in the spring water of the spirit. He is able to accomplish his desires through this water-light that surrounds him. Now you know, for I have told only you.

It is sad to see that there are people who give misinformed opinions and who have also “years of experience” Reading an article in Psychic news I felt I had to reply it was not printed though:

I write to distinguish a fundamental mistake in the view given by Mr T Darcy of High Wycombe in the issue number 4033, Saturday 28^th November.

He states that “”we know in most cases clairaudient mediums say they can “hear” words, music sounds in one ear rather than both ears. They are not hearing sounds outside the head, otherwise this would be direct voice”

This is entirely incorrect. Direct voice is an altogether different form of mediumship and is akin to physical mediumship in that the mechanism is produced by Spirit manipulating ectoplasm or other forms of material so that spirit can make contact through the form produced usually a “voice box” and produce the affect of sound “directly, in air” for all to hear whether they are a medium or not. That is not what he is describing at all.

I was very fortunate to have sat with Mr Leslie Flint on one occasion and I can confirm it is a completely different experience to what Mr Darcy is claiming. 

The simple reason being that all present whether medium or not, can hear the voices clearly and have intelligent conversations with them. Clairaudience does not come into it.

I myself happen to be a teacher and Clairaudience like the other gifts are, on what you may call a sliding scale, with everybody experiencing slightly different things according to their own knowledge, understanding and spiritual standing too.

As I think Silver Birch once said, “We can only assimilate knowledge when we have reached the understanding to use it.”

Talking strictly about Clairaudience I would say this. It would range from very faint sounds and words almost imperceptible, through to more definite sounds and words and further to sounds heard from the front of the head to various parts of the head. Exactly how you hear these depends on many things. That will range from up to very clearly and distinctly hearing conversations with sounds heard directly from outside your head almost as in normal hearing. This last effect is “true clairaudience” and it is proper “clear hearing” which is what the term refers to.

Landmark Ruling means Spiritualist can claim religious discrimination.

The Judge wrote “I am satisfied the claimants beliefs that there is a life after death, and that the dead can be contacted through mediums are worthy of respect in a democratic society.”

How comforting it must be to see and understand that there is something else after this life.

Through eons man has realised even from prehistoric times, that there must be “something else” it can be seen in the drawings in caves of rituals and of the wonderment in the simplest of things like the moon.

As time progress’s we can understand more and more of this “thing” and the proof of it is incontrovertible not only through proper, wonderful mediums but also through the science of quantum physics.

All of us have this innate ability which we can bring to the fore should we wish. All of us have had instances where for example an old friend whom we lost contact with rings “out of the blue” but yet with that ring we know who it is…

As we are exposed more and more to such programs, films and books as positively portrays that side of life people have become used to discussing it and being more open with it. That is certainly a good thing because it shows that these experiences aren’t “just a one off” it’s not a case of “they (a weirdo) believe such and such” it a very good case of “many people seem to understand and have experience of” and that is such a different perspective.

Just being able to discuss this subject and fully understand that so many people have had these experiences surely begs the question; it seems so possible that it is real, that there must be something after this. We need, according to our own beliefs, to search out “our truth” whether it is through a religion or direct experience or indirect through others we know, and have to sum it up for ourselves.

So many of us are now willing to express, to voice the occurrences that all added together it brings weight to the facts. Let me assure you, they are facts, proven beyond doubt in many varying ways. Proof of reincarnation, pictures of ghosts – for want of a better word, links to sites that have irrefutable facts and pages like some found on this blog, as to why there is no need to fear death, the act of death or that particular passing phase. It is natural after all.

As I have said before, you have not had a fear of being born have you? Most have no or very little recollection of it and so the same can be said of the return journey. If we were to use a Skeptic argument that is “no one remembers or has knowledge of passing” then the same can be applied to being born. Skeptics may well then argue that yes but I am here! You can just hear those in Spirit laughing loudly “yes and so are we” once you have reasoned with your mind and I always urge those to be critical, you are then left with mounds of proof that you cannot dismiss.

Great learned minds, often Skeptical have then understood and have championed the cause of a life hereafter.

We thought you would all be interested in the following news that has been reported in various national papers today. Greater Manchester Police have been taken to an employment tribunal by one of their police trainers over claims they sacked him because of his Spiritualist beliefs.

Alan Power, who has been a member of a Spiritualist church for 30 years, claimed that psychics could help detectives solve crimes. An employment tribunal yesterday ruled that Spiritualism should be placed on a par with other mainstream religions and philosophical beliefs and therefore Spiritualists should not be discriminated against. Despite the attempts of the police lawyer to equate Spiritualists with Jedi Knights and claims that just because there are thousands of Spiritualists and hundreds of Spiritualists churches doesn’t mean it is a religion, the judge accepted that ‘….in common with other Spiritualists, the claimant (Mr Power) believes in the existence of a god and that the dead can be contacted through mediums. I am satisfied that such beliefs are capable of being religious beliefs for the purpose of the 2003 regulations.’ (Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003). This is a landmark ruling for Spiritualists and goes some way to giving us back the legally recognised status that this government removed with the Repeal of the Fraudulent Mediums Act back in 2008. There’s still some way to go to ensure Spiritualists are not discriminated against in other areas but this is a brilliant start.
